WELCOME TO  ZATOG

The Zimbabwe Association of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a grouping of all trainees of Obstetrics and Gynaecology who are affiliated with the various training associations and universities, with the University of Zimbabwe and the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa as the chief institutions. The initial association had died a natural death several years ago, and in 2017, Dr Chipo Gwanzura set up to resuscitate the organisation as the Founding President. In 2018, we managed to conduct elections, during which time the current committee was elected at a National Congress in Bulawayo, and we managed to draft and pass a constitution. The ZATOG is an affiliate of our mother body, the Zimbabwe Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and resultantly, is also affiliated to the Zimbabwe Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy. Broadly, the Organisation falls under the World Association of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (WATOG), which is an affiliate of the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FIGO). Dr Grant sits on the WATOG Regional Body for Africa and Dr Gwanzura is the Vice President of WATOG.
